Installing Xtensions

Opening the Xtension Store​

In VAAST, click Xtensions in the left sidebar. This opens the built-in Xtension Store tab showing Official Sentrinels and Community Xtensions.

Browsing​

  • Official Sentrinels are pinned at the top in a grid. Each shows an icon, name, description, and tier badge.
  • Community Xtensions appear below, sorted by last updated. Each shows the name, author, description, and a "View Source" link.

Installing​

Two ways to install:

  1. From inside VAAST — click the "Install" button on any Xtension card in the Store tab.
  2. From the web store — visit xtension.xtrinel.com and click "Install in VAAST". This uses the vaast://install?id=... deep link to trigger installation in your running VAAST instance.

Plan gating​

Sentrinel Xtensions require Pro or Enterprise. If you are on the Free plan, the Install button is replaced with "Upgrade to Pro". Community Xtensions marked as tier: "free" are available to all plans.

Managing installed Xtensions​

Go to Settings in VAAST. The Xtensions section shows all installed Xtensions with:

  • Enable/Disable toggle — disabled Xtensions remain installed but do not run
  • Uninstall button — removes the Xtension entirely

Uninstalling​

Click "Uninstall" either from Settings or from the Xtension Store tab (installed Xtensions show an "Uninstall" button instead of "Install").
